Changing Hostname in Redhat Linux

Issue:

How to change the Host name in Redhat Linux Server.

Action/Fix:

Type below command:

#hostname new_hostname

It straight away changes the hostname, but to make permanent changes, make sure to edit the file /etc/sysconfig/network and then reboot the system.
